Important Information!

 -Back to School Night is August 25th! Please arrive at the time slot indicated, using the first letter of your last name. Names that start A-H: 5:00-6:00, I-Q: 6:00-7:00, R-Z: 7:00-8:00. This will greatly help with the flow of traffice. Don't forget to bring your school supplies to drop off!

-STEM Academy student schedules will be released at Back-to-School Night on August 25th.

- If you need financial assistance with back-to-school supplies for your students, email Ms. Swenson (swensonda@wpcscougars.org) no later than MONDAY, AUGUST 17th.

- School start time M-F- 8:20 (This is the time students should be in their seats. Carpool line closes at 8:16 and parents will be directed to the front. (You will be late if you come to the office after the doors close at 816)

- School end time M/T/Th/F- 3:20, Wednesdays- 1:20.

STEM STARTS HERE!

WHAT IS STEM?

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. At White Pine, STEM is more than a subject—it's a way of thinking. Students learn to ask questions, solve problems, collaborate, and think critically.

Try at Home:
Ask your child to identify something in your home that required science, technology, engineering, and math to create.

Family Discussion:
  • What problem would you like to solve if you were an inventor?

PFA News

Popcorn Friday Volunteers Needed!
Popcorn Friday is the first Friday of every month. It's also Spirit Friday, so students can wear their White Pine gear! Volunteers scoop and deliver popcorn to classrooms, with shifts starting at 8:20 AM and most volunteers home by 9:30. A great way to get your volunteer hours in!
Popcorn is delivered to all elementary classes but STEM students are welcome to come buy popcorn at lunch or afterschool.

WHAT IS PBIS?

At White Pine, PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) helps us intentionally teach the behaviors and character traits that lead to success. At WPCS, students focus on being Willing, Positive, Connected, and Significant. At WPSA, students focus on being Willing, Positive, Scholarly, and Admirable. Throughout the year, staff teach, model, practice, and recognize these traits in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and common areas.

Ask your child: Which of our school traits do you think is most important and why?

- Carpool Information and Reminders- Please remember that our drop-off line runs from 8:00–8:20 AM, with a bell at 8:16 AM. If you arrive after that, you'll need to park and sign your student in at the front office. At pick-up, be sure to have your car tag (handed out at back to school night) clearly displayed and follow staff directions to help keep traffic flowing safely. Thanks for helping us keep carpool smooth and safe!
