Administration

Charlotte Arnold, Administrator Dean of Faculty

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members:

Hello, I extend a warm welcome to the community, parents and children of White Pine Charter School. My name is Charlotte Arnold and I am the new administrator for the academic year 2008-2009. I am looking forward to joining an outstanding staff and meeting each of you. My degrees include a B.A. in Education, a Master’s of Education in Administration, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

I have been a professional educator for 27 years in the state of Idaho and six years in California. During my career I have been an administrator for fourteen years working both at the elementary and secondary level. I have also taught English, P.E. and science.

In 2000, I was selected as the alumni “Outstanding Educator” for Ricks College. I have had the good fortune to have worked with excellent educators throughout my career. I am excited about the opportunity to share the vast amount of knowledge my career has provided. The understanding of schools and the importance of maintaining and supporting quality teachers in the classroom are some of the qualities I value the most from my experience.

I have two children and five grandchildren, and I am extremely proud of them. My oldest son graduated from the University of Colorado in Electrical Engineering. He and his family (his wife is a junior high school counselor), live in Salt Lake where he is employed designing software for medical equipment. My daughter, a graduate of Idaho State University in Health Care Administration, is working in her field as well being a wife and mother of three children.

Just like each of you I love summer vacation, it is a time to rejuvenate, enjoy being with family and friends, complete summer projects, garden, golf, and do yard work. I enjoy traveling and especially enjoyed going to New York City, seeing the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Monticello, Mount Vernon, and Washington, D.C.

I strive to stay in touch with the learning community I serve. I am willing to listen to my staff, students and parents and work to their best interests. A school is only as good as the community that you build. Please feel free to contact me about WPCS. I know we can work together to create the finest educational environment for your child. As a charter school we are committed to the Core Knowledge Curriculum that raises the bar on education and gives students a chance to flourish as they learn about the world around them. Thank you for joining us on this great adventure!

Sincerely,

Charlotte L. Arnold

My professional background includes several years of educational service in elementary education as a classroom teacher as well as experience as a district instructional coach. Prior to relocating in Idaho Falls, I lived in Twin Falls and worked for the Twin Falls School District.  I gained a wealth of knowledge and practice working in Twin Falls, and I feel very fortunate to have the exciting opportunity to share my past experience as well as gain new experience in my position with White Pine Charter School. My educational background includes an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from the College of Southern Idaho, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Idaho State University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Idaho.
My daughter and I moved to the Idaho Falls area over the summer after I accepted this position with White Pine.  We are enjoying our new adventure here, the recreation opportunities close by are amazing, and this is such a beautiful place to live within a welcoming community.  My daughter is nine years old, and attends the fourth grade at White Pine.  She is very much enjoying her time as a student here, and as a parent I appreciate the child-centered education that she in receiving.
Please feel free to contact me anytime at the school, our phone number is 522-4432 and I am also available by email at beckkr@whitepinecharterschool.org.    I am anticipating a great year, and look forward to meeting you.

Anita Ogden, Business Manager

Hello,
I am a Certified Public Accountant that knows the school from top to bottom and inside and out.  This perspective gives me a view of how hard the staff works and the challenges of the school ran as a business.
I am married and have lived in Idaho for eight years.  I enjoy riding and training horses, camping, and spending time with my four children.
